After a lifetime of loving and caring for cats, Dawn Young turned her passion into a mission. With over 20 years of experience as a veterinary technician, Dawn dedicated her career to tending animals in need—always holding a special place in her heart for society’s most overlooked: the abandoned, the injured, the feral, and the forgotten.

For years, she quietly helped wherever she could—bottle-feeding orphaned kittens in the middle of the night, comforting frightened seniors surrendered in their twilight years, and advocating for spay and neuter programs to ease the suffering of stray populations. But as the calls for help grew louder and more frequent, Dawn knew she had to do more.

And so, The Cat Circle of Paso was born.

Nestled in the heart of Paso Robles, The Cat Circle is more than just a rescue—it’s a sanctuary. A safe haven for cats with nowhere else to turn. Guided by compassion and decades of hands-on experience, Dawn built The Cat Circle with a simple mission: to protect, heal, and uplift every feline life that crosses its path.

Today, she leads a small but dedicated team of volunteers who respond to urgent calls from struggling colonies, provide lifesaving medical care, and find loving homes for cats in need. As the organization continues to grow, The Cat Circle also hopes to expand its ability to assist in emergencies, such as natural disasters—ensuring that even in times of crisis, cats are not forgotten.

Dawn’s work is a testament to the difference one person can make when they lead with love and fight for those who cannot fight for themselves.
